Heidi Pappert
M.S.Ed. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Heidi (she/her/hers) has been a speech-language pathologist for over 7 years. She earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters of Science in Education from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. Over the course of her career, Heidi has been a travel SLP and worked in various school-based autism programs across the country. Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist, Heidi worked as a registered behavior technician (RBT) for three years in psychiatric support centers. Heidi has a background in musical theater which she blends with her knowledge of speech therapy to make sessions lively and playful.
Heidi believes that all children are unique and everyone deserves the same opportunities to communicate and learn with others. When Heidi works with clients, she is most excited by accomplishing something new with a parent and child each session. As she supports client growth, Heidi extends grace and kindness to all she meets. With empathy, compassion and individualization, Heidi loves helping caregivers experience new moments with their child. She also enjoys collaborating as part of a team to share her knowledge and learn from others.
In her free time, Heidi loves to travel, hike, go to the mountains, read fantasy books, and spend time with her Alaskan malamute, Akela. As an only child, Heidi believes that friends are the family we choose. She enjoys visiting her friends all across the world and staying connected with her large extended family in Pennsylvania.

Jordan Pickett
M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Jordan (she/her/hers) is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with a love of play-based therapy and helping families and children reach their full potential. She earned her Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology from Texas State University in 2017. She has been a pediatric SLP for seven years, working primarily in schools and pediatric outpatient settings.
Jordan knows that every single child has strengths and communication abilities. She became a speech-language pathologist because she loves tapping into each child’s potential and helping children and their families grow together. Her particular passion lies in teaching and modeling functional communication, implementation of low- and high-tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), implementation of inclusive practices, and team collaboration. Jordan believes her purpose is to help others experience life to the fullest. Every person deserves to be heard and understood, and it brings her great joy to be able to help someone along the way.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her two cats, Isa and Jeanie. She is new to the Denver area and is enjoying every minute of “mountain living”.
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)
Speech-language pathologists play a vital role in early intervention by providing professional assessment and intervention services to infants and young children who are at risk for or have communication or feeding difficulties. These dedicated professionals work with children and their families to facilitate language development, improve communication skills, address swallowing disorders, and support overall development. Through individualized therapy and family education, speech-language pathologists help to set the foundation for improved speech and language abilities, ultimately enhancing the children's quality of life and future success.

Megan Stoebig
M.S. CCC-SLP
Megan has been a bilingual speech-language pathologist for 4 years. She earned her Master's Degree in speech-language pathology from Marquette University in 2020. Since then, Megan has been working primarily with pediatric populations in school-based settings.
Megan is dedicated to supporting children and their families as a united team. Together, we will identify meaningful goals, strategies and design sessions around each family’s preferences. Megan is here to brainstorm with you and answer any questions, comments or concerns you have along the way.

In her free time, Megan enjoys cooking, reading, kayaking and hiking. She has recently taken up playing pickleball after being a lifelong tennis player. Someday, she hopes to adopt a dog to join her on adventures.

Malissa Healey
M.S. CCC-SLP
Malissa has dedicated 12 years to her role as a Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing primarily on working with students from kindergarten to twelfth grade within the public education system.
She recently started her journey in early intervention a year back and has found immense joy in working closely with families and observing the development of children's language abilities.

Outside of her professional life, Malissa finds pleasure in reading, exploring new dining experiences, and embarking on global adventures.

Sophia Arias
M.S. CCC-SLP
Sophia is a proud Florida native, born and raised in Tampa. She received her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida in 2019. She then earned her Master's of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in 2022.
During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a private practice setting that focused on early intervention for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This experience helped build a strong foundation for her clinical skills as a speech-language pathologist (SLP). She then began her career as an SLP at a Title I (large population of students in low-income families) public school.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her four dogs and exploring the Tampa Bay area. She loves discovering new and unique restaurants, visiting parks and museums, and finding pet-friendly locations.

As a therapist, she strives to provide family centered services that are functional and fun for families to engage in.

Kellie Szkatulski
M.S. CCC-SLP
Kellie received a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from SUNY Fredonia in 2009. She began her career at a preschool for children with developmental delays, primarily working with children with autism. She absolutely loved this job and liked to say that she never cared when it was Sunday evening because it meant she got to see her students the next day. After moving away from this city and back to her hometown, she focused on providing services through Early Intervention.
Kellie loved the idea of helping families by working directly with the parents and child and seeing the progress that could be made. As a parent herself, she understands how it feels to have concerns about your child’s development. So, it’s important to her to not only offer her knowledge to families but to do so in a supportive and compassionate way.

Allison Elwell
M.S. CCC-SLP
Allison (she/her/hers) has been a speech-language pathologist for over 8 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY, and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Children with Special Healthcare Needs from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Over the course of her career, Allison has practiced as an in-person and remote school-based SLP in preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and transition programs. In addition, Allison has experience treating the 0-3 population and coaching their caregivers in-home via private practice, with treating infants in the NICU, with treating adults with acquired neurological conditions such as ALS, Parkinson's, post-CVA, and spasmodic dysphonia, and with empowering transgender individuals through gender-affirming voice therapy.
Allison has a background as the sister of a sibling with both autism spectrum disorder and an intellectual impairment, which she blends with her knowledge of speech and language therapy to connect with families. Allison is also a professor at several universities, where she has the privilege of educating the next generation of SLPs. Allison believes that all children learn best in their natural environments with familiar caregivers. When Allison works with clients, she always integrates the child's interests into therapy to engage the client.
With kindness, compassion, patience, and empathy, Allison strives to help turn communication breakdowns into communication connections.

Ace Klimisch
M.S. CCC-SLP
Ace Klimisch (he/him/his) earned both his B.S. and M.S.in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2022, practicing as an SLP for 2 years. In this time, Ace has gained experience primarily working with the pediatric population in pediatric private practice, birth to three services, and middle/high school settings. He excels in collaborating with families and clients to personalize care, ensuring that sessions are child-led and centered on the individual needs of each child. Growing up in a military family, Ace developed a strong sense of adaptability and resilience, which informs his approach to both personal and professional life. An avid member and advocate of the LGBTQ+ community, Ace is committed to fostering inclusivity and support in all areas of life. Outside of work, he enjoys reading – primarily memoirs and fantasy fiction; exploring new communities with his wife and planning their next adventures; as well as participating in CrossFit. Additionally, Ace and his wife open their Southeast, WI home to cat and dog fosters, in addition to spoiling their own two dogs and two cats.

Julia Bagarella
M.S. CCC-SLP
Julia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Worcester State University in 2017, followed by a master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy from Nazareth College in 2019. During her time at Nazareth, she also participated in the Interdisciplinary Specialty Program in Autism (I-SPAN), which allowed her to take three specialized classes focused on working with individuals on the autism spectrum across their lifespan.

Julia began her career as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) during her senior year of undergraduate studies, a role that sparked her passion for working with non-speaking children and exploring ways to enhance functional communication. After completing her master’s degree, she started her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at a special education school in Rochester, NY. Julia thrived in this position, where she worked on functional communication, receptive language, daily living skills, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) goals with her students. She is deeply committed to the belief that everyone deserves a voice and finds immense fulfillment in helping clients and students access theirs.

Currently, Julia is enrolled in a certification program to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) while working as a behavior specialist for Tooele County School District. In her free time, she enjoys reading, particularly thrillers and romantasy, exploring the Utah/Salt Lake City area, Facetiming with her 2-year-old niece in Rhode Island, and baking, with a current focus on perfecting her sourdough skills.

Laura Palmeri
M.S. CCC-SLP
Laura (she/her/hers) graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in December 2007. She has worked with children in various settings, including private practices, Head Start Centers, public schools, and special education schools. Since 2016, Laura has enjoyed working with the birth-to-three population and their families in New Jersey Early Intervention through both in-person and telehealth services. She incorporates daily routines, child-led play, and caregiver goals into each session. Her aspiration is to ensure caregivers feel confident and empowered to help their children communicate and progress.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys reading, visiting the Jersey Shore, and spending time with her husband and three children. 

Mary Kathryn Henderson
M.S. CCC-SLP
Mary Kathryn Henderson has been a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist since 2015, bringing her expertise and passion to a variety of settings, including homes, private practices, elementary schools, daycares/preschools, and telehealth. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, helping them develop essential communication skills to foster confidence and meaningful connections. She believes that language is a powerful tool, and she is committed to making therapy engaging, functional, and personalized for each client.

Mary Kathryn’s greatest joy as a SLP is witnessing her clients grow in their ability to express themselves and develop a love for communication. She is passionate about empowering individuals to incorporate language skills into their daily lives in ways that feel natural and rewarding.

When she’s not working, Mary Kathryn loves spending quality time with her husband and their two little boys. Whether exploring new places, being outdoors, or simply enjoying family time, she cherishes every moment with them. Currently residing in Florida, Mary Kathryn remains enthusiastic to making a positive impact in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, helping her clients build confidence in their communication skills and thrive in their everyday lives.

Makayla Stone
M.S.Ed. CCC-SLP
Makayla is a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist with a heart for helping little ones find their voice. She specializes in early intervention working with children from birth to five years old to support their communication development during the most critical years of growth.

With a background in both clinical and home-based settings, she strives to create a fun, engaging, and family-centered approach to therapy. She believes that the best progress happens when we meet children where they are—through play, everyday routines, and the loving support of their caregivers.
Whether it’s helping a toddler say their first words, supporting early social communication, or building confidence in feeding and swallowing, She’s here to celebrate every small step along the way.

Rachel Braga
M.S. CCC-SLP
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from California State University Northridge. She began her career in 2017 working with preschoolers in a variety of specialized classrooms, community preschools and daycares. Since then, she has worked primarily with young children and their families who have children experiencing a variety of disabilities and disorders, including autism, articulation and language delays, Down syndrome and hearing loss. Rachel is fluent in Spanish and is humbled to be able to reach more families as a result.
​
As a parent of an autistic child, Rachel brings a unique perspective to her work that allows her to easily connect with families receiving early intervention services. Rachel knows that parents are the true experts regarding their children and finds it rewarding to be able to empower and support them to build their child’s communication development. Having worked with multidisciplinary teams throughout her career, Rachel understands the importance of collaboration to be able to best support families. She knows that each child is unique and enjoys thinking outside of the box so that children can continue to make progress during this critical period of development.

Outside of her career, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and two pomeranians, cooking, traveling, chess, gymnastics and learning new languages.
Occupational Therapists (OT)
Occupational therapists play a crucial role in early intervention by providing professional support to help children develop key skills for everyday activities. Through specialized interventions and activities, occupational therapists work with children to improve their motor skills, sensory processing, social interaction, and cognitive abilities. By addressing challenges early on, these professionals contribute to the overall well-being and development of children, setting a strong foundation for their future success.

Corinne Wolfe
M.S. OTR/L​
Corinne has been working as an Occupational Therapist for 10 years. She has a wide variety of experience having practiced in settings with both children and adults.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Corinne relocated to the Pacific Northwest 5 years ago and began working in a school-based setting.
She loves being able to support children in their natural environment and help them grow! In her free time, she enjoys reading, biking, and golfing. Corinne has a 3-year-old Boston Terrier named Penny who she loves to take swimming and play ball at their favorite parks!

Min-Ju Chan
M.S. OTR/L​
Min-Ju is an accomplished Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of experience spanning multiple healthcare settings, including acute care hospital, long-term skilled nursing facility, and school-based special education setting. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Taiwan and then she moved to San Diego, California in 2014 to pursue her second master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego).
With over ten years of clinical experience as an Occupational therapist, Min-Ju has built a strong foundation for her clinical skills with different cultures, a wide range of diagnoses, and various age groups.
Min-Ju has always been most passionate about working with children; during the past three years, she has been working for a pediatric clinic as a remote/telehealth occupational therapist, and she also had one year experience working as a special education teacher/and OT consultant in an international bilingual school.
Throughout her time working with the pediatric population, she has gained extensive experience collaborating with families, teachers, doctors and insurance coordinators, and cooperating with interdisciplinary team members in the rehab department.
Outside of work, Min-Ju enjoys jogging, playing pianos, going out with family and friends, trying new and unique foods, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.

Caitie Van Sloun
M.S. OTR/L​
Caitie has been working as an Occupational Therapist for over five years after receiving both her Bachelors in Rehab Psychology and Masters of Science-Occupational Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked across a variety of settings including NICU, outpatient pediatrics, acute care, and home health. Through this work, she has gained extensive experience advocating for clients and working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure clients meet their full potential. Although Caitie has worked with individuals as young as preterm infants all the way to hospice care, her passion has always been working with children and their families.
Throughout her time working as an Occupational Therapist, she has gained a loved for supporting children in their natural environment as well as encouraging kids to get outside and explore the world around them. Caitie is passionate about bringing play, curiosity, and adventure into therapy so that children experience the world with their families.
Outside of her profession, Caitie enjoys spending time exploring the mountains with her family and two golden retrievers. She is an avid down hill skier, hiker, and runner. When not outdoors, Caitie loves reading, baking, and photography.

Shelley Kaschinske
M.S.Ed. OTR/L​
Shelley earned her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2005. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a line therapist, providing in-home interventions for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This experience ignited her passion for supporting neurodiverse children and their families.

Since 2007, Shelley has dedicated her career to working with students in the public school system. In 2019, she earned a Master’s degree in Special Education, with certifications in Autism and Transition Planning. Her diverse background includes work in various settings, which has provided her with extensive experience collaborating with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams.

Shelley is deeply committed to fostering independence and meaningful progress for every child. Her approach is grounded in a coaching model and rooted in the belief that growth occurs through everyday routines, activities, and real-life experiences.

Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, connecting with friends, and being outdoors. She especially loves hiking, boating, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with her French bulldog, Franklin.

Anna Kovach
M.S. OTR/L​
Anna completed her masters in occupational therapy at Sacred Heart University. Anna is passionate about creating positivity and inclusivity in all spaces and has volunteered for many inclusive programs from a young age. She has experience in school settings, early intervention, travel occupational therapy, and telehealth for all ages.
She values utilizing a strengths-based approach and supporting children’s growth in their natural environment.
Outside of occupational therapy, Anna enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking, reading, and pursuing new hobbies.
Physical Therapists (PT)
Through a family-centered approach, physical therapists assess each child's unique needs, design personalized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to help them reach important motor milestones and improve their quality of life. This might involve teaching parents techniques to integrate therapeutic exercises into daily routines, demonstrating the use of assistive equipment like walkers or braces, and coaching families on how to create a safe, stimulating home environment that fosters the child's physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. By building strong partnerships with the families they serve, physical therapists in early intervention play a pivotal part in empowering parents, promoting child independence, and setting the stage for lifelong success.

Katie Hogan
PT, DPT​
Katie received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Tennessee State University in 2019. She discovered her passion for working with children early in her education and has since expanded her experience and knowledge by practicing in various settings with both children and adults.
Katie firmly believes that children's growth and learning within their natural environment is a vital key to a flourishing life, and as a mother herself, she is driven to support families however she can to optimize quality of life for all.
Outside of her profession, she enjoys spending time in nature with her family, as well as hobbies like boating, wood burning, and tending to her plants.

Lauren McHugh
PT, DPT​
Lauren has been working as a physical therapist for 4 years with experience in outpatient, home health, and early intervention therapies. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in 2021. Lauren is passionate about helping individuals of all ages reach their goals.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, new baby boy, and Great Pyrenees. As a family, they enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, and taking on home projects. Lauren’s goal is to travel somewhere new every year.
Lauren loves movement and staying active. She is creative minded and loves to incorporate play into reaching motor skills and functional goals. As an extrovert she is good at getting to know people quickly and building good rapport with clients.

Kathryn Kraft
M.S. PT​
Kathryn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 with her Master of Physical Therapy and has worked in pediatrics ever since. With a passion for early childhood development, Kathryn is a highly experienced pediatric physical therapist providing comprehensive care across hospital, home, and school environments.

Kathryn's expertise lies in working with infants and toddlers, addressing a diverse spectrum of physical impairments. Having supported hundreds of families, she understands the critical importance of fostering strong, trusting relationships.
Kathryn embraces a coaching approach, recognizing that caregivers and families are central to a child's therapeutic journey and overall development. This collaborative model ensures holistic support for each child's unique needs.

Laura Hansen
M.S. PT​
Laura has a B.S. in Physical Therapy (PT) from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and a M.S. in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Oklahoma. She has practiced as an in-person and remote telehealth PT in early intervention, preschools, and K-12 schools. Laura has been providing early intervention coaching with parents and caregivers at home and via telehealth since 2005.
As a PT, Laura has treated children with all kinds of motor delays and disabilities. She also has experience working with a variety of family structures and is open to supporting all caregivers involved in raising and supporting children in early intervention. She believes that children learn best in their natural environments while engaged in their interests.

Laura was a foster parent for many years and has a particular interest in supporting those involved with the foster care system. Outside of work, Laura and her teenage son enjoy karate, hiking, and traveling.
Special Instructor - Behavior
A special instructor in the area of behavior in early intervention is a highly skilled and specialized professional who plays a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of young children. These experts possess a deep understanding of the complex factors that shape a child's behavior, including environmental influences, developmental milestones, and individual temperament. Their primary focus is to work closely with families, caregivers, and other service providers to implement tailored strategies that promote positive behaviors and address any concerning patterns early on. With unwavering patience, empathy, and a keen eye for detail, these professionals are instrumental in guiding young children towards healthy social-emotional development and setting them up for long-term success.

Janice Pappert
M.S.W. L.B.S.​
Janice has been a behavioral specialist for over 30 years, earning her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her career, she has worked in early intervention at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, specializing in autism as a Licensed Behavioral Specialist.
Janice believes that all children deserve the opportunity to grow, express their feelings and emotions, and enjoy interacting with others. When working with clients, she is most excited by helping them accomplish even the smallest milestones that many take for granted. Janice approaches her work with empathy, compassion, and an individualized focus, supporting the growth of both children and their caregivers. She takes great joy in collaborating with her team to share knowledge and learn from others.
In her free time, Janice loves spending time with her family, listening to audiobooks, and watching movies. She considers her daughter and sisters to be her greatest treasures.
Volunteer Philanthropy Ambassadors (VPA)
The key role of a Volunteer Philanthropy Ambassador is to raise awareness about our mission and vision through personal advocacy. VPAs are enthusiastic and dedicated supporters of Peak to Peak Therapies who are excited to share our story to help promote awareness of our charitable organization. VPAs are passionate about our cause and are committed to keeping abreast of new, relevant issues that may impact our Peak to Peak clients/community. VPAs have the opportunity to participate in fundraising activities and to seek support from individuals and corporate partners, large and/or small, via contributions of time, money, and/or in-kind support.

Keiti Corcoran
Student
Keiti (pronounced Katie) is a 23-year-old student completing her last year of undergraduate coursework in criminology and sociology. From as young as she can remember she knew her purpose – aiding defenseless children and becoming their advocate. She has always had an interest in international work and humanitarian aid.
​
After gaining her advanced diploma in teaching English as a foreign language, she set her sights on using her new skills to support education for those without access. After widespread research of third-world countries, she had not long after decided that her next journey would be in Kenya.​
​
Even though her current degree is in criminology and sociology, her experience working with the special needs program in Kenya has given her clarity and new goals.​ Her goals are invested in creating a future career within occupational therapy. She is excited to further her studies and gain more qualifications in this field!
